XRP, BNB Outperform Bitcoin After CLARITY Act Clears Senate Banking Committee

The cryptocurrency market climbed higher on Friday morning, with Ripple’s XRP (XRP) and Binance Coin (BNB) outperforming Bitcoin (BTC) after the&nbsp; Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act of 2025 cleared the Senate Banking Committee.

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Reports net loss of $1.52 per share against expectations of $0.42 per share.&nbsp;</li><li>Revenue came in at $136.4 million, missing estimates of $154.3 million.</li><li>12 analysts rate the stock ‘buy’ or higher, as per Koyfin data.</li></ul>CleanSpark (CLSK) stock dropped 11% after-hours on Monday after the crypto mining stock’s second quarter (Q2) losses widened, and revenue dropped as rising geopolitical uncertainty wreaked havoc across riskier assets.&nbsp;Bitcoin miner CleanSpark saw its net losses widen sharply to $1.52 per share, well above analysts' $ 0.42-per-share estimate, during its fiscal second quarter after recording more than $200 million in losses tied to its bitcoin holdings.CleanSpark reported a net loss of $378.3 million for the second quarter of 2026, up from $138.8 million in the same period a year ago, a 173% increase year-on-year. That included a $224.1 million loss on its bitcoin holdings. The company said it held $925.2 million worth of BTC at the end of the quarter.The price of Bitcoin dropped about 22% from December to March 2026, owing to escalating geopolitical tensions between the U.S., Iran, and Israel, high inflation stoking interest rate fears, and the leadership transition at the U.S. Federal Reserve, with Kevin Warsh widely seen as leaning toward the ‘hawkish’ side.&nbsp;CleanSpark said its Bitcoin mining revenue came in at $136.4 million in the quarter, a 25% decrease from $181.7 million a year earlier.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">CLSK AI Strategy And Institutional Interest</h2>CleanSpark earlier today disclosed that the State of New Jersey Common Pension Fund D acquired a $2.02 million stake in the firm, introducing fresh institutional demand and improving equity liquidity.&nbsp;The company also mentioned it has accelerated its digital infrastructure across land and power development, with ERCOT approval of 300 MW in Brazoria. Leasing activities saw further progress in Georgia and beyond while the firm continues to develop a new land parcel in Sandersville.&nbsp;"Our objectives are clear: commercialize our AI/HPC-applicable assets, grow the portfolio, and continue mining efficiently to power CleanSpark's transformation," Matt Schultz, CEO and Chairman of CleanSpark.&nbsp;&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">CLSK Bitcoin Holdings&nbsp;</h2>CLSK said it mined 658 Bitcoin in March at an average operating hashrate of 47.3 EH/s. It ended March with 13,561 Bitcoin. After the quarter closed, CleanSpark reported April production of 640 Bitcoin.&nbsp;The company averaged 21.33 Bitcoin per day during the month, with an operational hashrate of 50.0 EH/s and 808 megawatts of utilized power. His comments align with those of other industry leaders, like BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, who&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LPit2bEWAo">told</a>&nbsp;CNBC in 2025 that the market is at the “beginning of tokenization of all assets.”&nbsp;Hougan also suggested that the SEC chair's prediction that the entire U.S. stock market will move on-chain means stablecoin markets would need to be 20 times larger, and activity on blockchains like Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) would have to explode to support the volume.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Superstate Steps Back To Focus On Fund Infrastructure</h2>The deal also signals a strategic pivot for Superstate, the fintech firm that built and ran USCC. Rather than compete in asset management, it is stepping back entirely to focus on FundOS, its infrastructure platform for on-chain funds, which will continue to power USCC under Bitwise's management. Superstate founder Robert Leshner called it "a great example of what FundOS makes possible: world-class asset managers running tokenized funds on Superstate's infrastructure."For crypto markets, it's another avenue of liquidity. Institutional money is no longer flowing exclusively into spot Bitcoin ETFs.
