Lee characterized the decline from $4,800 to $2,800 as a “forced washout” and argued that the setup improves if prices “bleed lower” before a reversal.He added that Bitmine’s strategic advisor, Tom DeMark, shares the view that the recent sell-off was an “engineered liquidation,” not a structural breakdown. Vitalik Buterin Says Ethereum Gas Limit Will Continue To Grow But In A ‘Less Uniform’ Way

The leading altcoin’s price is now more than 35% below its all-time high of over $4,900, seen in August, at $3,182.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Tom Lee Points To Potential Ethereum “Supercycle”</h2>Fundstrat’s Tom Lee <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/fundstrat/status/1990082437116780901">said</a> on Sunday that Ethereum may be on a similar supercycle as Bitcoin. Lee stated that he first recommended Bitcoin (BTC) to clients in 2017 when it traded around $1,000 and that the cryptocurrency experienced multiple declines of up to 75% in subsequent years before hitting 100x gains.&nbsp;“We believe ETH is embarking on that same Supercycle,” he wrote on X. Ethereum had lagged behind Bitcoin for much of early 2025, with ETH peaking at $4,946 in August while&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/coins/bitcoin">Bitcoin’s price</a> reached over $126,000 in October. Arthur Hayes Sells Nearly 1,500 Ethereum, Cuts DeFi Holdings Over The Weekend

Ethereum holdings of the co-founder and former CEO of Bitmex fell from 6,500 ETH to 5,000 ETH over the weekend.

Grayscale Investments announced on Thursday that it has filed paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to go public. While the date isn’t set yet, the company said the initial public offering (IPO) would be of its Class A common stock on the New York Stock&nbsp;Exchange&nbsp;under the ticker ‘GRAY’.Details like the number of shares and the price range were also not disclosed. Grayscale said the IPO’s debut would depend on market conditions,&nbsp;so there’s no guarantee on the timeline or what the final terms might look like.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Revenue Drop Ahead Of IPO</h2>Thursday’s announcement comes after the company had already confidentially filed for an IPO back in July. Grayscale’s filing with the SEC reveals that the crypto asset manager experienced a decline in revenue over the past year. It has a net income of $203.3 million on revenue of $318.7 million for the nine months ended September 30, which is lower than the $223.8 million net income on revenue of $397.9 million in the previous year.Markets are expecting IPO activity to ramp up heading into the last months of the year after the most extended U.S. government shutdown ended on Wednesday. The shutdown has bottlenecked applications at the SEC, with the agency’s review functions hitting a pause.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Pioneer in Digital Asset ETFs</h2>The digital asset-focused investment platform, which has around $35 billion in assets under management (AUM), is touted for being the first company to launch Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETF). The approval of those ETFs paved the way for others to make digital asset investment accessible to traders in traditional markets.&nbsp;Grayscale’s Bitcoin (BTC) Trust ETF (<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GBTC">GBTC</a>) edged 0.25% higher at market open, with retail sentiment on Stocktwits trending in ‘bullish’ territory. Grayscale Investments on Monday announced the first crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that enable staking.The company said its Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF (<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETHE">ETHE</a>) and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF (<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETH">ETH</a>) are the first U.S.-listed spot crypto ETPs to enable staking. ETHE, launched in July last year, is the second-largest spot Ethereum ETF in the US, behind BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA).&nbsp;The company also confirmed that the Grayscale Solana Trust (<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GSOL">GSOL</a>) has activated staking. Pending regulatory approval for GSOL’s uplisting as an exchange-traded product, it is expected to become among the first spot Solana ETPs with staking functionality, Grayscale said.By staking a portion of its Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) holdings, Grayscale provides exposure to ETH and SOL while generating network rewards. The firm will stake passively through institutional custodians and validator partners, supporting protocol security and long-term network health.Grayscale CEO Peter Mintzberg said the firm’s latest staking rollout for Ethereum and Solana funds shows its focus on staying ahead of the market. Grayscale said it plans to extend staking to additional products as the digital asset ecosystem evolves.While REX-Osprey offers a SOL ETF with native staking under the ‘40 Act, Grayscale’s Ethereum ETFs are the first U.S. spot crypto ETFs under the more common ‘33 Act to add staking, potentially setting a new precedent for Solana once GSOL converts.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETH.X">Ethereum’s price</a> was trading at around $4,500 at the time of writing, up 0.5% in the last 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data. Grayscale Launches First US Crypto ETFs With Ethereum, Solana Staking

The company said its Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF are the first U.S.-listed spot crypto ETPs to enable staking.

Major cryptocurrencies advanced in the early trading on Tuesday, as spot exchange-traded funds saw strong inflows despite the looming threat of a government shutdown.Bitcoin was up 2.1% at $113,958, Ethereum gained 2.4% to $4,192.96, and XRP was up 0.9% at $2.89 at the time of writing, according to CoinGecko data. Among other tokens, Solana rose 1.2% and BNB increased by 1.7%.According to SoSoValue data, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw net inflows of $521.95 million on Monday, the biggest increase since Sept. 12. While Spot Ethereum ETFs raked in over $546 million, the most since Aug. 14. The figures suggest that institutional investors might be returning to digital assets following the weakness in September.Michael Saylor’s Strategy revealed in a securities filing on Monday that it acquired 196 Bitcoins for $22.1 million at an average price of $113,048 per coin. The latest purchases bolstered the company’s holdings of Bitcoin to over 640,000, representing about 3% of total Bitcoins in circulation. This year’s rally has been partly fueled by several companies launching cryptocurrency treasuries in their bid to emulate the firm.The gains came despite the risk of a U.S. government shutdown on Wednesday, unless the U.S. Congress reaches a deal by the end of the day. "I think we're headed to a shutdown because the Democrats won't do the right thing," Vice President JD Vance told reporters after a meeting at the White House with senior members of Congress. The Democrats are pushing to keep healthcare subsidies for low and middle-income households in the stopgap funding measure.“Expect volatility to stay high in the coming days. The odds of a government shutdown stand around 65%–75%, unless lawmakers manage a last-minute deal. Bitcoin, Ethereum Gain Amid Strong ETF Inflows Despite US Shutdown Threat

A majority of retail traders on Stocktwits expect Ethereum prices to reach $5,000 by the end of 2025, with some predicting even more impressive gains, despite the second-largest cryptocurrency experiencing some weakness in recent weeks.According to a Stocktwits poll, in partnership with Polymarket, which garnered over 32,000 respondents, approximately 46% of retail traders anticipate that Ethereum will reach $5,000 by the end of the year. The poll also highlighted that 25% still believe Ethereum can jump up to $8,000, nearly double its current price.
