Canadian auto supplier Magna International announced that XPeng has selected it to assemble two of its new models for the European market, with serial production of the vehicles set to commence in the third quarter of 2025.

NIO Inc. (NIO) on Wednesday announced the pricing of its $1 billion equity offering relating to a total of 181.8 million Class A ordinary shares of the company. NYSE-listed shares of the company tumbled over 10% at the time of writing.The company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.nio.com/news-releases/news-release-details/nio-inc-announces-pricing-us1-billion-equity-offering">stated</a> that it would comprise an offering of the company’s American depositary shares (ADSs) and an offering of its Class A ordinary shares.The ADSs will be offered at a public offering price of $5.57 per ADS, with the offering expected to close on or about September 11. This represents an 11% discount to the stock’s closing price on Tuesday.The Class A ordinary shares, meanwhile, are being offered at an offering price of HK$43.36 per share. CEO William Li noted in a post-earnings call that with the new vehicles, the company sees a market demand that is higher than what it expected before launch. XPeng To Launch Mona Brand Globally Next Year: Report

According to a CNBC report, the company is now open to acquiring other electric carmakers.

Polestar CEO Hopeful About Market Pricing In Cost Increases As Tariffs Bite Q2 Earnings

The Swedish EV maker on Wednesday reported a net loss of $1.027 billion, wider than the $268 million loss reported in the corresponding quarter of 2024, due to higher cost of sales, including a non-cash impairment expense on Polestar 3 of $739 million.

Chinese EV maker Nio (NIO) got multiple price target hikes on Wednesday after it reported a narrower second-quarter (Q2) loss.Mizuho raised its price target on Nio to $6 from $3.50 and kept a ‘Neutral’ rating on the shares following the June quarter report.
