GE Vernova (GEV) is&nbsp;set to acquire French software firm Alteia SAS to integrate artificial intelligence into grid inspection and damage assessment.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/GEV">GE Vernova’s stock</a> rose as much as 1.6% in pre-market trade on Monday.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the company jumped to ‘extremely bullish’ from ‘bullish a day ago amid ‘high levels of chatter.The deal is expected to close on August 1. The transaction terms were not disclosed.&nbsp;GE Vernova said the acquisition is a part of its strategy to help utilities enhance operational systems. It will be a part of the company’s GridOS portfolio, which&nbsp;allows utilities to proactively plan for and operate the electric grid through disruptive events such as&nbsp;storms and wildfires that can impact the availability of reliable power.Scott Reese, the head of GE Vernova’s electrification software business, stated that the deal will help the company address “critical pain points” in utilities, enabling them to prevent disruptions and restore power quickly.GE Vernova already offers Alteia’s software to customers through its Visual Intelligence product, which helps utilities “see” the grid and assess damage. GE Vernova (GE) shares jumped over 7% at the opening bell on Wednesday after the company reported a first-quarter profit and said tariffs announced by President Donald Trump are not expected to have a material impact on its financial outlook for the second quarter or the full fiscal year.&nbsp;The energy-focused spin-off from General Electric reaffirmed its full-year revenue forecast of $36 billion to $37 billion. It stated that the outlook already includes a projected cost impact of $300 million to $400 million resulting from recently imposed tariffs.&nbsp;CEO Scott Strazek said during the earnings call that the company expects the tariffs to change and inflation dynamics to evolve, but warned of some cost pressure it might have to counter.“Based on the current outline of tariffs and resulting inflation, we do not expect a material impact on our second quarter financials,” added CFO Ken Parks.The company reported adjusted earnings of $0.91 per share, well above the $0.37 forecast by analysts, according to Koyfin data.&nbsp;Revenue rose 11% from a year earlier to $8.03 billion, also topping estimates of $7.55 billion.Net income came in at $264 million, a turnaround from the $106 million loss&nbsp;reported in the same quarter last year.GE Vernova's electrification unit reported a core profit of $214 million, more than triple the level from the previous year.&nbsp;The power segment, its largest division, delivered core profit of $508 million, up from $345 million in the prior-year period.The company’s offshore wind business, however, remained under pressure. The segment posted a core loss of $146 million during the quarter. Orders declined 44% to $640 year-over-year (YoY), with&nbsp;the company citing challenges from supply chain disruptions, project delays, and cost inflation.Meanwhile, overall orders increased 8% on an organic basis to $10.2 billion, driven by demand for services and power equipment. GE Vernova CFO Sees No ‘Material Impact’ From Trump Tariffs On Outlook – Stock Surges On Q1 2025 Earnings Beat

The company reaffirmed its full-year revenue forecast of $36 billion to $37 billion, stating that the outlook already includes a projected cost impact of $300 million to $400 million from recently imposed tariffs. 

Fiserv shares rose 6.7% in morning trade on Wednesday and touched a record high after the company’s fourth-quarter earnings topped Wall Street estimates.On an adjusted basis, the fintech firm reported earnings of $2.51 per share for the three months ending Dec. 31, compared with the market estimate of $2.48 per share, according to FinChat data.The company’s quarterly revenue rose 7% to $5.25 billion, driven by robust growth in its Merchant Solutions and Financial Solutions segment.Adjusted revenue in its Merchant Solutions unit, which allows businesses to accept electronic payments, rose 11% to $2.5 billion compared to the year-ago quarter.The company said its small business revenue grew by 12% while enterprise sales rose by 15%. Fiserv Stock Hits All-time High After Q4 Profit Beat: Retail Sees Further Upside

KKR &amp; Co. (KKR) stock drew retail attention on Tuesday after its fourth-quarter earnings topped Wall Street estimates.The company reported adjusted earnings of $1.32 per share for the three months ending Dec. 31, compared to average analysts’ estimate of $1.28 per share, according to FinChat data.However, its fourth-quarter (Q4) revenue fell to $3.26 billion from $4.43 billion in the year-ago quarter.
