The constipation drug “stole the show,” Piper Sandler wrote, referring to revenue projections that far exceeded expectations.</p><p>The firm highlighted Ardelyx’s 2026 revenue guidance of $410 million to $430 million, which it said far exceeds consensus estimates of about $375 million. Piper also noted that the company now expects the treatment to reach $1 billion in annual revenue by 2029, roughly four years earlier than the firm had previously anticipated.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>Constipation Drug Anchors Growth Outlook</strong></h2><p>Ardelyx said&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/ardelyx-stock-rallies-after-announcing-prelim-results-makes-retail-bullish/cmUbXbxR454">most of its 2026 revenue is expected to come from Ibsrela</a>. The company said revenue from the treatment is projected to rise at least 50% from 2025 levels.</p><p>The drug is forecast to pull in roughly $274 million in revenue in 2025, which would be 73% growth versus 2024, the company said. The variant expands Tesla’s European Model Y lineup and is positioned below the Premium Long Range versions on price, while delivering more range than the base Standard model, according to a&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/SawyerMerritt/status/2009494794314096656">post</a> by Tesla investor and influencer Sawyer Merritt on X.</p><p>Depending on the market, the new trim is priced about 1% to 9% lower than the Model Y Premium Long Range RWD. Deliveries are expected to begin in the coming weeks. The Standard Long Range is expected to offer roughly 23% more range than the cheaper Model Y Standard.</p><p>The updated European lineup now spans five versions, ranging from the Standard model to the Performance variant, as Tesla looks to offer more flexibility across price points.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>Europe Has Been A Challenging Market</strong></h2><p>The new launch follows a challenging year for Tesla in much of Europe. While the company remained dominant in Norway, its performance across other major markets lagged.</p><p>Tesla registrations in the EU, the United Kingdom, and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/tesla-registrations-december-surge-norway-decline-france-sweden-europe/cmxNU7oRE69">declined to 22,801 vehicles in November</a>, compared to 26,191 vehicles during the same period a year ago.</p><p>Tesla’s market share declined year over year in every month of 2025 through November. The weakness persisted into December in several markets, with registrations falling 66% year over year in France and 71% in Sweden.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>Norway Remains A Bright Spot</strong></h2><p>Tesla ended 2025 as the country’s top-selling automaker for a fifth straight year, benefiting from a market where electric vehicles dominated new registrations. He pointed to the growing role of direct-to-consumer channels, a rising emphasis on preventive and longevity-focused care, and broader use of AI to improve access and personalization.</p><p>He said there is a growing demand for easier access, lower prices and more personalized care, as well as heightened interest in early testing, diagnostics and continuous health tracking. Dudum added that AI is also being used to minimize friction in care delivery and enable more reliable engagement between consumers and providers.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>OpenAI Pushes Into Healthcare</strong></h2><p>The development comes as large technology platforms increase their presence in healthcare.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/open-ai-launches-chatgpt-health/cmxzOpYR42A">OpenAI on Wednesday launched ChatGPT Health</a>, which helps users blend health information with AI-driven insights.</p><p>OpenAI said users can connect their electronic health records and fitness apps, such as Apple Health, Function and MyFitnessPal, securely to have ChatGPT help them make sense of test results and guide their health regimens in light of personal trends. The company said ChatGPT Health was developed over two years in collaboration with more than 260 physicians.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>Wall Street Turns Cautious</strong></h2><p>On Thursday, Bank of America Securities (BofA) lowered its price target on Hims &amp; Hers to $29 from $32 and maintained an 'Underperform' rating, saying expectations for 2026 appear too optimistic.</p><p>The firm said consensus forecasts for sales and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margins are elevated, describing 2026 as a “big investment year” for the company. He further stated that subsidies, paid for by taxpayers, were going toward higher premiums under the ACA, and he claimed that subsidies in the Covid era had “magically” outpaced the S&amp;P 500 and the Dow. Retail traders overwhelmingly picked SpaceX as their most anticipated 2026 IPO, far outpacing OpenAI and Discord.

He framed Ford’s strategy as a return to its Model T-era philosophy.</p><p>Black&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/garyblack00/status/2008960649066602822">said on X</a> that unsupervised autonomy is becoming “table stakes” across the auto industry, weakening the long-held belief that Tesla alone would solve self-driving problems at scale.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>Ford Lays Out Its In-House Autonomy Strategy</strong></h2><p>Farley said Ford is pursuing three initiatives, all being developed internally. First, Ford is rolling out a new AI assistant integrated into the Ford and Lincoln apps. Farley said this will allow customers to access vehicle-specific intelligence even when they are not in their cars, with an initial rollout expected in early 2026 and a native in-vehicle experience planned for 2027.</p><p>Second, Ford said it is building next-generation advanced driver-assistance systems and Level 3 autonomy in-house. Farley said the company plans to launch a fully internal Level 2 platform on its affordable Universal Electric Vehicle platform in 2027, with a goal of being public-road ready for Level 3 eyes-off driving in 2028.</p><p>Third, Ford revealed a new centralized in-vehicle high-performance compute module designed to unify infotainment, driver assistance, audio, and networking into a single system. Farley said the module is being developed internally and will serve as the foundation of Ford’s future vehicle architecture.</p><p>Farley added that owning both software and hardware has allowed Ford to lower costs and scale advanced features across vehicles customers actually buy, rather than limiting them to premium models.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>Black Says Driverless Rides Are Already Scaling Fast</strong></h2><p>Black said that several competitors are already driving around 750,000 paid, unsupervised autonomous ride-hailing trips per week, and that about half a dozen automakers will likely introduce Level 4 autonomous driving options in their electric cars in 2026, using Nvidia chips and software.</p><p>He also said Uber would then offer a self-driving option on its app at a&nbsp;lower price after regulators approve autonomous driving standards. He noted that&nbsp;this could lead to unsupervised autonomy spreading rapidly through ride-hailing platforms over the next several years.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2"><strong>Autonomy Race Widens Beyond Tesla</strong></h2><p>Ford’s move comes as&nbsp;the autonomous driving competition heats up. Lucid recently unveiled a&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/lucid-stock-rises-after-hours-following-a-ces-reveal/cmxwXkiR4RN">production-intent robotaxi</a> with Uber and Nuro at CES and said on-road testing is underway.
