Airlines coming in for a landing at a pretty loaded level. 2017/18/19 lows & 2025 high pivot + YTD AVWAP + rising 1yr MA all converging around 27-28. 27-strike Peak Put sitting underneath too. Worth watching to see if all that confluence is enough for $JETS to stick the landing.

U.S. airlines waived change fees for flights Friday through Sunday ahead of a nor’easter that federal forecasters warn will bring high winds and rainfall with the potential for dangerous flooding. As of Friday afternoon, close to 600 flights to and from LaGuardia Airport in New York were delayed, more than half the schedule, according to FlightAware. Dozens of others were delayed at major New England and New York-area airports. Carriers will often cancel a chunk, if not most of their schedules, during severe winter storms or hurricanes to ensure planes, passengers and crews aren’t out of place, but airlines are still assessing the nor’easter’s potential path and impact. $JETS

$JETS Friday's oil pullback is the airlines' relief rally. Ryanair and Lufthansa each gained over 2% in Europe this morning (Reuters) as Brent fell back from Thursday's $108.23 high to around $105.6. The sensitivity is the margin structure. IATA estimates jet fuel will average $152 a barrel this year, about 31% of airline operating costs, up from 25.4% in 2025. Carriers hedged only about a third of it. IATA's industry forecast: per-passenger profit of $4.50 this year, half of 2025's. At margins that thin, a $2-3 move in crude is not noise.
