Trading Competitions: Week 2 Recap

Stocktwits’ second week of trading competitions kicked off on Monday and ended today, so let’s recap how it went. πŸ‘‡

Before we get to this week’s top trader, we want to recognize CtheLightTrading and ricericebaby111, who are both in the top ten for the second straight week. And as a matter of fact, were in the second and third spots with double-digit gains. πŸ‘

But, they were unable to unseat ChipBrommer, who took an early lead on Monday with a bearish options trade on Spotify that he outlined on the streams in real-time. His hot streak continued throughout the week and ended with a nearly 300% gain. 🀩

We’ll have to wait and see how next week’s competition shakes up; make sure to join or follow along before things get started on Monday! πŸ—“οΈ

The Tale Of Three IPOs

We last talked about the U.S.’s largest initial public offerings (IPOs) a month ago, when their results failed to inspire confidence among investors. However, we wanted to bring them back this week because at least one of them is perking up. πŸ‘€

The chart below shows Arm Holdings closing at its highest level since coming public, now firmly in positive territory. Klaviyo, which started off hot, is between its highs and lows. But Instacart remains on a downward path, making fresh lows this week before rebounding marginally. πŸ“Š
